Safe Harbor of Northeast Kentucky is an emergency shelter and advocacy center that provides confidential, caring, and supportive services to all domestic violence victims in Boyd, Greenup, Carter, Lawrence, and Elliott counties. This building is one of three buildings at this shelter location that was once known as the Harbor Hill Hospital. The modifications of this building included the installation of an elevator tower and exterior ramps for accessibility updates, interior room reconfigurations, HVAC and plumbing upgrades, and new fire alarm system installation. This 137-bed project was funded by Federal Home Loan Bank.
